Olivia Coldrey
Olivia Coldrey is Australian and works as Head of Energy Finance and Clean Cooking in the Vienna office. She is SEforALL’s technical lead for energy finance as well as focused on creating and executing the overall clean cooking strategy.
Olivia has over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of law, finance and energy markets. Prior to joining SEforALL she was Director, Sustainable Finance at REEEP and as an independent consultant advised governments, DFIs and investors in developed and emerging economies on energy policy, regulation and project finance.
As Investment Director and a founding team member of the Australian Solar Institute (ASI), the Australian Government's lead solar energy agency from 2009-2012, Olivia led investment operations in ASI’s creation of a $450 million portfolio of strategic, collaborative solar RD&D projects, resulting in a leverage ratio of more than 1:3 for government seed funds and demonstrable impact. Previously, she advised on structured trade and project finance transactions at Australia's export credit agency, Export Finance Australia, and as a lawyer in private practice worked with Baker McKenzie in Sydney and Hong Kong and Latham & Watkins in New York.
A Fulbright Scholar and US Department of State Climate Change Fellow, Olivia holds law degrees from the University of New South Wales and London School of Economics and an economics degree from the Australian National University.
In her spare time, Olivia enjoys travel (especially to remote places), hiking, fly fishing and the arts.
