Supporting women in sustainable energy – a month of SEforALL communications activity
During March, Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) is highlighting the great work and action women around the world are taking to close the energy access gap and support Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7.
To help highlight this work and engage our partners within the People-Centered Accelerator, SEforALL is using our communication channels to showcase content and work that promotes gender equality and women’s empowerment in sustainable energy.
March has strategically been targeted as a month for this focus to coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8. Using this as an opportunity to highlight the ongoing work of the People-Centered Accelerator and our gender related work, the SEforALL communications activity throughout the month will include a blog series from Accelerator partners, posts from SEforALL experts and regular social media content.
As part of this social media activity, we are also developing a ‘Twitter Takeover’ for the 24 hours of International Women’s Day, posting regular updates that show success stories and opportunities in empowering women within the sustainable energy sector.
This ‘Twitter Takeover’ will run on March 8, 2018 – starting at 12:00am CET (11:00pm GMT / 6:00pm March 7, EDT). For partners who would like to support, or find out more, you can access our digital toolkit is available here, as well as follow the latest updates on social media using #SDG7AllEqual.
