SEforALL at the White House Summit on Global Development
On July 20, 2016, President Barak Obama will host the White House Summit on Global Development, an opportunity for development leaders, public and private sector partners, civil society, diplomats, and entrepreneurs to celebrate shared contributions that have led to dramatic progress in global health, energy, food security, good governance, partnership, and youth engagement.
Rachel Kyte, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General and CEO of Sustainable Energy for All, will be among the panelists in an afternoon session on ‘Power Africa: Partnerships as a source of power’.
The event comes a day after the Obama Administration announced the Clean Energy Savings for All Initiative, a cross-governmental partnership to increase access to solar energy and promote energy efficiency across the United States, particularly in low- and moderate-income communities.
The full Summit will be live-streamed here.
