Rachel Kyte to speak at Toronto Global Forum
Rachel Kyte, SEforALL’s Chief Executive Officer and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All, will be speaking on energy, infrastructure and sustainable development at the Toronto Global Forum on Tuesday, 13 September.
Kyte will be the introductory speaker in a session on ‘The Power of Distributed Energy Resources’, which will examine the way that information technologies integrated into the so-called smart power grid can increase the efficiency and reliability of the power system, reduce costs, and draw on increasing levels of renewable sources.
The Toronto Global Forum is an international conference fostering dialogue on national and global issues, held under the auspices of the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA) The theme of this year’s Forum, from 12-14 September, is ‘Leading in Uncertain Times’.
