2016 Ashden Awards

On 9 June 2016, 11 pioneering sustainable energy organisations will be presented with an Ashden Award worth up to £30,000 at a prestigious ceremony in London. Pioneering sustainable energy enterprises and programmes from the UK and across the globe have been announced as finalists in the 2016 Ashden Awards. From an innovative Cambridge start up reducing the amount of energy consumed by data centres to a grassroots Asian network committed to improving the lives of women salt farmers, there are 22 incredible organisations on the shortlist this year. And new for 2016 is the fact that the Eurostar Ashden Award for Sustainable Travel has gone global and now has an international focus. Rachel Kyte, CEO and Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) will deliver a statement during the award ceremony on Thursday June 9.
