Indigenous Mini-Grid Developers Webinar on the Universal Energy Facility - A New Results-Based Financing Facility
The Universal Energy Facility is a multi-donor, results-based financing facility that will significantly improve the speed and scale of delivery of energy connections in Sub-Saharan Africa. The facility is managed by SEforALL and has been developed with a coalition of donors and partners that includes the Rockefeller Foundation, the UK Department for International Development (DFID), Power Africa, Shell Foundation, Good Energies, and Africa Mini-grid Developers Association (AMDA).
The Universal Energy Facility will launch in September of this year, with the first wave focused on mini-grid developments. The aim of the webinar is to bring together indigenous developers and stakeholders in the mini-grid sector across Africa to introduce and explain participation in the Universal Energy Facilty.
The objectives of this event are to:
- Introduce the Universal Energy Facility and how indigenous developers in Africa can participate;
- Provide information on the Universal Energy Facility framework and design process; and
- Receive feedback from indigenous developers on the design of the Universal Energy Facility.
