Africa Renewable Energy Forum

This year's forum will be a place where it will showcase projects in the pipeline from African governments, as well as project developers. In a report from the International Energy Agency (IEA), renewables are expected to cover more than 60% of the increase in world electricity generation over the medium term. The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), released a report in October 2015 called "Africa 2030". This report highlighted some of the incredible growth the continent will see in the coming decade and a half. It stated renewable energy can more than quadruple by 2030 to 22%, compared to today's level of about 6%.
