Rachel Kyte, Chief Executive Officer and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All

A leading advocate for sustainable development, Ms. Kyte is focused on affordable, reliable and sustainable energy as the key to combating both poverty and climate change. Ms. Kyte drives SEforALL’s work to mobilize action towards its 2030 goals of ensuring universal access to modern energy services; doubling the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency; and doubling the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix. As Special Representative for the Secretary General she is the point person in the UN for action towards the recently agreed global goal on sustainable energy. Read more

Monika Weber-Fahr

Monika Weber-Fahr, Chief Operating Officer

Monika joined Sustainable Energy for ALL (SEforALL) as Chief Operating Officer in April 2016 and has taken on the challenge of building a smart, functional and effective operational and institutional set-up for this newly recongized Non-Governmental International Organization. Monika has worked for over 20 years in international development finance and management consulting, with leadership roles on topics related to sustainability and private sector development, and on knowledge management, innovation and learning. Previous positions in Monika’s career include: the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the World Bank Institute, and Boston Consulting. For 12 of her 22 years in development, Monika focused on energy topics – running the entire gamut from energy efficiency, to energy access, and renewable energy initiatives, both in the public and the private sector, and including efforts to evaluate and track the impact of energy transitions. A strong advocate for innovative approaches in management, Monika lead a number of initiatives across the World Bank Group that introduced new ways of learning and improving, including the World Bank’s first large innovation competition, the Development Marketplace, in 2000. Monika holds a Ph.D. in business economics and a MSC in economics. She is a member of a number of supervisory and advisory boards with a focus on climate change and innovation, including serving as the chair of the Supervisory Board of the Climate Knowledge and Innovation Centers (Climate KIC). Monika lives with her family in Vienna, Austria.

Jane Ebinger

Jane Olga Ebinger, Director of Policy

Before her assignment as Director of Policy at SEforALL, Jane was Chief Climate Change Specialist at the World Bank supporting the World Bank Group Vice President and Special Envoy for Climate Change and the Climate Change Group on climate policy and finance. She has had previous assignments at the World Bank as Manager for Climate Change Policy; Thematic Coordinator for Climate Change in the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program and various operational assignments in Europe and Central Asia on energy, environment and carbon finance. Prior to joining the World Bank she worked in the oil and gas industry for BP and BHP Billiton covering environment management, safety and risk assessment, oil spill/ emergency response. She has an MA Mathematics and an MSc Mathematical in Modeling and Numerical Analysis from Oxford University.

Callum Grieve

Callum Grieve, Communications Director

Callum has over 20 years’ experience in marketing and communications for both private sector and non-profit organizations. For the two years leading up to the 2015 Paris climate negotiations, the Director of Communications for We Mean Business - a global campaign demonstrating that the low-carbon economy is inevitable - and irresistible. Before that, he was Co-Founder & Director of Counter Culture, a climate change communications agency. Callum was previously the Director of Communications at The Climate Group where he created and led Climate Week NYC. He has worked with United Nations, the World Bank Group and a wide array of business and government leaders on climate change and clean energy communications. Prior to this, Callum was the Executive Director of the Marion Institute - a sustainability think-tank dedicated to promoting innovative solutions to a wide range of environmental and social-justice challenges. There, he helped to coordinate communications for leaders such as Paul Hawken, Bill McKibben and Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Wangari Maathai.
